Audi S5 Twin Turbo????

Audi S5 Twin Turbo????
What would it take to put twin GT30's on an '08 or '09 Audi S5? And say bump up the power to 800 or 900 WHP? Would it be similiar to the UGR Gallardo in price? This car is perfect in my eyes except the power on it, even the power on the upcoming RS5, is puny in comparison to the 700HP packages so often seen in the 996TT community.

It would take a lot of money and a very capable tuner. Talk to the guys at PES on here. They make a good SC kit for the 4.2L V8 but I don't think it'd get you up to 700+bhp. I'm not so sure the chassis/drivetrain can handle that kind of power though.

I would probably use someone like Tony at EPL. PES makes good stuff I guess, but the 450 or 500 bhp that the SC gets you doesn't equate to much of a street car with a 3900lb BOW. Thanks for the advice. I think the 1000hp Gallardo that Underground Racing does cost around 60K for the complete package. I know Hennessey does a 700HP R8TT.

And you say this because? Have you not seen the Gallardo TT that went 9.1 at 169? Why couldn't an Audi S5 do the same? or on a more sane level do 700HP?

I have been thinking of the exact same tuning project! I am having MTM do my RS4 SC conversion through MTM Canada, but I noticed on MTM's website in Germany that Roland Mayer has an engine project in which he QUAD-turbocharges the W12 used in the A8, good for 800HP/1000Nm. I wonder if he could stuff that into an S5?

Correct.
The 4.2 FSI engine that Audi has in the S5 is pretty much maxed out to begin with. Some of the best software tuners in the world haven't been able to improve the ecu software for any gains and it runs a high compression ration. So even if you could twin turbo the motor, the gains would not be anywhere near where you want them to be unless the motor is overhauled completely. You'd be better off getting an 03 RS6 motor and doing a transplant
