Why pick the RS4?

I am currently staring at a RS4 parked across the street from me and have a quick question.

Why buy this car???

I am a car enthusiast and can rationalize such a purchase, but anybody have any other opinions?

(To me I see a truly special sedan that can go fast, haul the family, be sleek and low-key, and go to the track at the same time.)

You don't need any more convincing than your own words. Gobs of torque, absolutely fun car to drive, plus all the reasons you've already mentioned.

I have drive the RS4 a few times and I love it. If I had my pick I would pick the RS4 as my DD.

When we couldn't find a nice E39 M5 as our family car, it was between the RS4 and the S4 Avant.

Ultimately we picked the S4 Avant for the additional room, but make no mistake, the S4 engine is nothing special, whereas the RS4 is pretty awesome.

The clutch in the RS4 is also way better than in the S4.

To be fair, I would advise thgat you drive both the E39 M5 (only the 2003, last year) and the RS4 and see which one does it for you.

FooFighterGT3 is an unknown quantity at this point
I use the RS4 as my daily driver. It has great performance, all the amenities, and is low profile. They are also relatively uncommon.
