Those new Merc 1350s are phenomenal.They cost a pretty penny though, I heard an engine and drive is $220K.

This is awesome. 176mph on water is very fast and takes quite a bit of power to get there.

Most of the boats in this league are $800k to 1.3 mil. 30-50% of that on propulsion is not unreasonable -- especially on pump gas and with a one year limited warranty.

I rode in the 48 MTI at the Miami Boat Show. You cannot believe the acceleration! Nail it at 100 and it takes your breath away!

That is probably retail price, consider that the old 1075hp supercharged were 180k Retail with no drive, and they had to be refreshed every 100 hrs or sooner at 25k per engine. These 1350 actually have a warranty with them and are supposed to be trouble free for a long time.
