Maybe, but NOT with 1,350 hp motors. That much power in an open cockpit boat isn't safe. Race boats have generally less power (most sanctioned classes) and have closed cockpits for safety.

case in point- _ _ _ founder died 5+ years ago running 150+ in a 30' open cockpit boat trying to get top speed

Amazing... the speed is just breathtaking. I watched this vid w/the rear-facing camera and it looks like you're on the back of a rocket!

Water doesn't look particularly glassy. How long can the boats take so much punishment before the hull suffers?

I would feel safer in the M35 at those speeds but both models apparently handle like they are on rails and incredibly efficient hulls. Love the turbo whine in those new Merc 1350's....
