Woke up this morning to my mom telling me that my boat was missing from the neighborhood dock... we met the Police and the Harbor Patrol at that dock and we noticed that the lines were cut! The wind was blowing down the bay towards the end where it gets shallow and there are lots of grasses there.

The Harbor patrol officer takes his boat down there and he finds my boat!!

It was about 100 yards down from the dock. It was up on its side with the motor still in the up position. The boat was scratched up on that side being up on pebbles and sand, it was resting against someone's bulkhead. The boat's rub-rail on one side was falling off (i ripped the whole thing off once i got it back on its trailer) and the whole boat looked like shit! Covered in sand, reeds, dirt, sea lettuce.

The police boat towed it back to my yacht club

I put it back on my trailer to find that the drain plug was ripped off and about to fall off (had a second drain plug inside on the other end thank god). There was alot of water in the bilge and in the cockpit the cushions were all over with gear and stuff all over inside (i had it all neatly stowed up front).

I'll get pictures as soon as I can. It looks a bit better because I hosed the boat down.

Sorry this happened Sam but it sounded like a matter of time with that last guy you had the run in with. Did you happen to remind the cops of the previous complaint?

Is this seriously the way things are dealt with in the US? I find that sad and pathetic. If you've got a problem, confront the person, don't f*cking touch other peoples property.

Taking the whole school day off to deal with this issue.
Yeah, I talked to them and they said they will keep an eye out at different marinas around the island for this guy.

This does give me the opportunity to re-do the boat the way I plan though.
