what's a good 21 foot performance boat?

Well first off I would like to say Donzi is the Bayliner of performance boats. I would touch one with a 12 ft pole. ha What kind of water conditions will this be driven in? What are you wanting to do with this boat? Have any experience with a 60mph+ boat? Are you going to be in calm water? If so you need to figure out if you want inboard or outboard. Do you have experience with engines? If it were me and calm water I would look at haller, hondo, sanger, can-am v-drive drag boats. If you want a "weed-eater" powered boat I would look at checkmate, superboat, powerplay, obsession, stoker, progression, and skater. Thats my 2cents. Hope it helps!

was not cheap though, Mahogany boats are very expensive.

this looks like a 30 off their site, the 22 ends between the two cockpits

thanks for all the help guys - to answer some questions
I would mainly use this boat to tool around in, - very seldomly pull an inflatable or two.
It would be used on a small lake, so 23 foot is definitely max size..
I would like to be able to loung on the backside of it- possibly covering an I/O setup.
I prefer I/O to outboards....but not sure why - - I guess growing up I always liked the sound of the big v8's with the thru trans exhaust.
thanks for all the recommendations.. .. very helpful as always

The ultimate 21' performance boat for me would be a Schiada River Cruiser. Probably some of the finest 21' ski boats/hot rods on the planet. I'd have mine with a supercharged bbc and a v-drive. Check them out.
