I like those side stands! Wheel stands are all fine and dandy ... until you want to fiddle with the suspension. Then you're fuxored.

Alex, the engineer in you would actually love taking it apart. It has a bunch of clever tricks that make me go "oh, that part was made so right!".

Something like 90% of Duc owners I know keep it in the living room over winter and fiddle. Nothing unusual there.

Some parts came back today!

Green and red parking lights. 100% win.

And an array of powdercoated parts, semi-gloss black. Previously silver. Much better. Happy.

More like 100% Christmas! Come on man! You're really going to run those???

The powder job looks ace though. That will be a huge improvement over the silver.

LOL I would totally run those ... if it weren't for the fact that I'd get stopped by every single cop. So unfortunately, I'll go back to white.

And yeah, the powdercoat is awesome quality. From the first chat with the guy, you could tell he was all about quality. He actually does mostly industrial coatings (teflon and whatnot), but does bike or car powdercoat on the side because he enjoys it. Very cool dude. Drives a 911, too.

I've put most of it back together earlier this evening and it looks 100x better than silver.

Ha, love it! It's now the ultimate dual-purpose vehicle: Sportsbike in the summer, interior art in the winter!
