675s drink oil when you hammer on them. Smallish 3-quart capacity magnifies it. Newer ones (09+) have better seals and a larger oil pan.

the 675 i was talking about was in dubai.... he is a friend of mine and had problems with transmission heating up, sometimes cant shift between gears, and engine over heat. apparently he fixed his bike and it runs fine now. I could not get the whole story from him because he is not in town. probably when he is back. that being said, I know many bahrainis riding triumphs speed, triple. and they are all happy with their bikes.

also our ts mate hamadjamsheer faced some problems with his daytona... i am sure he can be more helpful than i am.

Remember that motards require more mechanical upkeep than your basic inline 4.

the streetfighter is a great bike but can be a bit over the budget for some... if that was the case, I'd recommend the GSR 600.... great looking bike

Just to put in about the 675 aspecially since I brought it up, I have had some oil usage at the track, but aside from that it has just been jump on and go for my daily use. That said it is the refreshed version. If you end up looking at the 675 I would only recommend 2009 or newer.
