Looking to buy a 600cc Sportbike

Ive been riding '01 CBR600f4i(GF's), '07 R6, Ducati 748 and a friend has an '06 R6 with mods(rotors, levers, dampner, rearset, commander). I havnt riden the '06 but friend says the only difference he feels is comfort of the adj. rearset and relaxed steering in the city from the dampner.
My fav to ride of all 3 when cruising in the Ducati 748. Its an '01 and sounds just fabulous!!! I have another friend with a 749r that sounds anemic. All you hear is clutch actually lol. The CBR600 is as easy to ride as a bicycle but on the slow side compared to the R6 and 748. The R6 is definately the fastest and most agile of course.
I also agree on the Daytona 675 by looks only as I have not ridden one. Only thing I dont like about the blue/white theme is the baby blue painted chassis.

hi yall, I am new here, just wanted to share my 50 cents... I would not recommend the triumph due to reliability problems in transmission and engine heat... but then again i come from an extremely hot and humid weather climate region. the R6 is fast and agile but not too comfortable for daily use. The gixxer on the other hand is comfortable, seat positioning, reliable and fast as well.... unless you're thinking of tracking the bike the 1000 will always be the best all around. 750's are great as well cause they have a mixture of power and agility.

Thanks for the replies.
I think the Triumph is the best candidate for now. I'm going to visit the dealers this week to get a better idea.
Literboy, I've never heard about those issues, do you have more info?
I live in Santiago, Chile. It's on the country's central valley, 1,700 ft above sea level. The city has a somewhat cooler Mediterranean climate: relatively hot dry summers (November to March) with temperatures reaching up 95 degrees Fahrenheit on the hottest days; winters (June to August) are more humid with cold mornings, typical maximum daily temperatures of 56 degrees Fahrenheit, and minimums of a few degrees above freezing. Occasional snowfall occurs in the city, and may extend throughout the city, though this happens infrequently (about every 8–10 years). Mean rainfall is 360 mm per year and is heavily concentrated in the cooler months.
The bike will never be used in rain, but will be in cold mornings. With the 2001 R1 (carburators) I had no problems with low temps.

It does appear these engines like to drink oil when used intensively.
That's about all I know.

^^ Here's the story on the 675...

^ Thats my old 07 Gsxr 600 loved that bike, but was only fun for about an hour in the canyons, and there were too many crazies on the roads. If I were to get another canyon carver, I would go Supermoto!!!
