I agree-- what I was getting at is that Ducati runs the engines under load quite a bit, both after assembly and once in the bike, before it goes on down the line. Several oil flushes happen as well. While I certainly wouldn't want to get on a japanese bike and flog it off the showroom, the Ducs are generally as run in as they're going to get.

Wow didn't see the happy ending on this thread congrats man... its the smell of new bikes that get me... they are soooo fun, be careful though, enjoy it in good health.
