New 2013 Shelby GT500

well, doesn't that make you a poser ?- buying a car that is owned by only two other guys in town to stand out of the rest ?

This is the model released with a 850-hp option and 1100-hp track option correct?
My 2006 GT has 525whp and it is so insanely agressive sometimes that its scary...I can't let anyone drive it that I don't trust with my life because in first gear or second gear, and especially downshifting into secong while rolling, she'll put you right into a wall or tree if you don't know how to handle her. People take it so personally, but they just don't understand how much power these cars can produce and how you really need to take the time to learn the car first.
As I like to tell my friends (even though its extremely corny
), the car is a wild horse...you can't just hop in and go for an all-out, pedal-to-the-metal ride, you need to tame her first.Seriously sweet car you have there! Enjoy it in good health and please be safe!

The factory GT500 comes with 662 bhp... Shelby have kits, the super snake, pushing it to 850 bhp and beyond... As far as being a poser, well, it's all about how you drive the car, and whether you own it for status symbol, like most Porsche owners around here, or for the pure pleasure of driving it... The bulk of Porsche owners are posers, and Porsche is very fine with that, hence the brand being leveraged all the way to a hybrid/diesel/4-door/SUV/bla bla bla... The 991 turned the 911 into a GT, which is just fine, but it ain't what the 911 was... The Shelby challenges you... There are few cars like that today... If I had a GT2RS, maybe I wouldn't have switched out of Porsche... But that car is way overpriced... Anyway... That's an endless discussion, and many will not agree... I'd rather simply focus on the Shelby... It's as backward as a brand new 2013 car can be, in a great positive sense
manual, rock crushing gear box, rear wheel drive, surreal bhp, what else would you want if you love raw driving
