I'm backing the guys saying go diesel. After driving a friends Duramax Chevy I don't think I could drive a gas truck of any size again that would wow me. All city driving and he gets 16-18 mpg and the thing hauls ass.
I will conceed that the Raptor is an awsome looking truck though...

Ed,
i have one. had it for about a year plus. i love it. needed a work truck & a get-away car if anything happens.
it's amazing although it's just a F-150, but it gives u the king of the road feel due to its size. it's also funny how easy to drive it in LA because seems like people just magically move out of your way it's not even funny.
thinking about selling it since i don't really need it. put only 6k miles since i own it. if u're thinking about it let me know.

The Raptor can haul 8k lbs... Unless you need to regularly tow more than 10k there's no need for a 3/4 ton or more diesel. For a DD, the Raptor wins.
Not to mention I would no more recommend a GM with an Isuzu engine than suggest drinking cyanide for fun.
