2005 FORD GT "SONIC BLUE" One of None Collector

--“Sonic Blue”, the only Ford GT painted in this color! with Black leather interior and Black carpeting, 140 miles from new, all four factory options: Red brake calipers, White body stripes, Mc’Intosh Stereo system and BBS wheels.

Named “Sonic Blue” after the unique color it is painted, which is said to contain crushed glass, thus its unique sparkle in the sunlight, Ford GT VIN 1FAFP90SX5Y400349 was built in March 2005. This GT has only been driven for 140 miles. It has never been registered and will be sold on its original factory Ford MSO.

Pulled from the regular production line, ”Sonic Blue” was issued “special care” and built along-side the standard assembly line to ensure that this would be the most perfect example of a Ford GT with great attention given to the fit and finish of each panel. Because of this meticulous attention to detail and its special sonic blue paint, the car was affectionately labeled the “million dollar” car by the assembly line work force.

At the end of production, the car was signed by Bill Ford and Camilo Pardo, head of Ford’s Living Legends Studio and the chief designer of the GT, under the guidance of J. Mays.

Powered by its 5.4L 90-degree supercharged V8 with an aluminum block and heads producing 550 hp at 6,500 rpm and 500 ft lbs of torque at 4,500 rpm, a top speed in excess of 210 Mph and 0-60 mph times of 3.4 seconds.

This is a chance to own a cherished piece of Ford history that will always hold a special place in the history of the Ford GT program as well as at the Ford Motor Company itself. All documentation as well as videos are included to attest to this GT’s exceptional and rare provenance. Also included is a rare “build book” normally not released from the Ford after the build process.

It is a true Super Car and given its uniqueness, an exceptional investment opportunity and sure to become a piece of Ford history with a multi-million dollar future net worth.

Multi million dollar future value. Um okay.

Beautiful car though. Too bad it doesn't get used.

appreciate what it is but could never do cars as an "investment".

cars have a purpose, drive the shit out of them.

you're missing the point otherwise.

Cool story but with the color being so bright I feel the stripes and red calipers are too much. Personally prefer midnight but this is a rare bird... GLWS

I can see them as an investment. Certain models are bound to appreciate in value and would make a solid decision to sell later on. I would still drive them, enjoy them, and just keep them in pristine condition via detailing, protective wraps, and regular maintenance.

edit: worth multi-millions might be a little ambitious
