I also guarantee it's limited to 184MPH. One of the biggest problem with the previous GT500's was putting power down. They kept the 285 tires and added 100 more ponies. I'd still take the ZL1. Not to mention the ZL1 looks downright sinister.
I agree. 650hp doesn't make up for Magnetic Ride Control and IRS if you ask me. The ride will be nicer, and better handling, in real world conditions(public roads as opposed to race tracks). And good point about the tires.

You hear lots of talk and rumors these days, so we will have to see if the GT500 does actually put out 650hp. That is a big jump all of a sudden. Companies usually make smaller, incremental upgrades. Even if they do, it'll take like $500 to get a 650+hp ZL1 with a pulley swap.

No doubt. The SS was nice but I always wanted a meaner look. The ZL1 is exactly what I think a muscle car should look like.

Exactly true. The future might be interesting. Chevy has a new V8 coming. And supposedly one of GM's goals is to make their cars lighter in future generations.

As of right now Ford holds their performance advantage from weight and experience. When the gen 2 Camaro comes out it will have a lighter frame, lighter engine and keep their technology advantage over Ford. How will Ford respond?

Chevy > Ford

Camaro > Mustang

Always has been, always will

Haha you fanboi's are hilarious.

Chevy is obviously superior to Ford. So much so that they couldn't survive with out billions of dollars from the government

And before you call me a Ford fan boy. I like the ZL1, said that a bunch of times. I love the Z06 and ZR1. Also like a ton of other GM products. I also like the Mustang and Fords. I bought my Boss because bottom line is stock for stock no fvcking Camaro available could get within a mile of it. If Chevy steps up and makes something better, I'll consider it.

Sorry Pete, the trolls are in full force. I'm a Chevy guy and I give you hard time but if a company makes a great product I appreciate. The Mustang is a great product. I hope you get that I am joking with you and I mean it only in jest. The new Mustangs are really awesome.

No apology, Jeff! I wasn't talking about you buddy. This dude always trolls the American car threads here so I'm used to it . The reality is BOTH companies make great products.

Agreed. Whether one company may be seen better to some, they both make excellent American cars.
