2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 specs revealed, 184 mph starting at $54,995

I guarantee the ZL1 will be faster around the track. Independent front and rear suspension, Magnetic Ride Control, and proper 305 rear tires. The Shelby is great but this will be quicker. I also guarantee it's limited to 184MPH. One of the biggest problem with the previous GT500's was putting power down. They kept the 285 tires and added 100 more ponies. I'd still take the ZL1. Not to mention the ZL1 looks downright sinister.

I'm pretty sure Ford let Chevy do their thing first so they could work on the 2013 GT500 and top it.
Today was pretty much the first time we've heard anything about the numbers the GT500 will be producing. All we knew was that it would be a blown 6.8
That said, it'll be interesting to see how those two compare. I'd still take a Boss 302 any day of the week.

I'd still say the ZL1 would beat it, barely. Neck and neck.

I respect the fact that you are such a huge Chevy fan, but with this statement you're smoking crack!
