The Future of Viper - Find Out What's Next for Viper at RoadandTrack.com

Looks like everything will be a huge improvement- Which kind of sucks if you ask me. To me, what's attractive about the Viper is it's a purpose-built machine. You don't buy a Viper for luxury features. And while the article says this won't happen, I have a hard time believing it'll stay so rough-edged under the new management of Dodge.

My guess is we'll get an SLS AMG with a 6 speed tranny.
And I'll be very upset...

Thankfully not.
It's just in transition, with a couple years in between models.
Apparently it'll be a '13

Thoes chops are always blahh.

I'd love to see them go back closer to the original design language- swoopy and organic.

i also heard that the new Mercedes SLS AMG is based on the next generation of Dodge Viper, which was cancelled due to the financial situation of Chrysler Group.

if that project will became reality, i think we will see a nice battle between this two cars.

A little more refinement in the Viper's chassis seems just fine to me.
