Both are great American cars/icon. But the ZR-1 is a more complete package and is easier to live with on the streets. Get one Mark.

I will say this. I had a Viper SRT/10 coupe. Black/black and looked very cool. I bought it in Dallas and drove it home to Little Rock. That was the most fun five hours I've had in a long time. Then I got it home and it was so uncomfortable to get in and out of, it was hot inside, visibility was poor. I just never drove it. It is a sweet car and I enjoyed it, just not for that long.

I agree, for everyday driving and comfort I would choose the zr1. But if you want a hardcore track car go with the acr.

i gotta keep asking why everyone keeps saying acr hardcore tracker. ONE guy made it go fast. he was probably in traction for a week after 7 minutes getting tossed around like a rag doll.
how many guys have driven a viper hard? they kick your ars. Its almost impossible to control well.
just sayin

I'm not buying either of them (esp. @ $110K or whatever). I just like the way the Viper looks... Corvettes are a great idea, but poorly executed. Dump the leaf springs, give it an interior worthy of a flagship, and improve the image, and I'm in.

I don't buy this for a second, on a SRT-10, I put 8-9K a year on mine and its fine for a daily driver.

The ACR is a completely different beast, the hardcore is a flat out track car that happens to have plates. You would be better served with a ACR-X though if your a track rat, its so far beyond the skill set of most that it is ridiculous.
