Superformance GT40 MkI is vehicular sashimi, raw and delicious
#12
I have been storing and driving a MKIII Superformance Cobra belonging to a friend of mine for over a month now. There is something magical and raw about driving a Superformance replica. They are so well built, feel so solid, and all of the key controls like steering, throttle, brakes are so well weighted that you find yourself completely immersed in the experience of driving them. The Cobra I have been driving is a 427 FE stroker that dyno'ed at just over 700hp at the flywheel. I have driven many fast cars, very fast, but nothing, and I mean NOTHING feels like that car. I have never felt so completely immersed in the experience of driving something. All of these new fast cars, like the Ford GT, etc make going really fast so easy. Try driving a Superformance replica GT40, Cobra or Coupe and you will be hooked. The raw V-8 sound and thrust is intoxicating. None of them is by any means an "everyday" supercar. They are too loud and too fussy. Giving the Cobra anywhere near full throttle is a "both hands on the wheel, look straight ahead and concentrate while screaming HOLY SH!T!!!!" experience.
