So who's really excited about this...? I mean REALLY excited...? This car is occupying my desktop and I can't wait for the 17th of May. This car has amazing history and to see it finally emerge on the open market is, well - at the risk of repeating myself - EXCITING...!!!

Not only that, but this car was once owned by none other than Piero Drogo (one of my all-time favorite coachbuilders). And he owned it before he was anybody special - which kinda makes it even more special. Some of history's most amazing drivers once ran this car for glory and fame. Olivier Gendebien, Phil Hill, Wolfgang von Trips - to own this car and drive it would be amazing.

Wow, it really does have an amazing history! I was excited before, but now I'm really pumped! Someone will be getting a priceless piece of history when this crosses the auction block.

OMG what I would do to know I was in a position to buy a car like this. I mean really the potential buyers has to be a short list to say the least and I just hope it doesn't end up in the mid east buried in a warehouse and never gets seen or driven. Hopefully Glickenhaus or Ralph Lauren will scoop it up so that way it will be seen all over the internet at the very least...

lI doubt that Jim would buy this as his collection is very specific. But, in my eyes, he'd be a prime candidate because you know that the car would get driven.

TeamSpeed should do a group buy. Lussos could take amazing pictures of it, Tony could teach me how to drive it, and I could write about what it's like to pilot such an amazing machine...! Who's in...?

I'll chip in 1/8760th of the price if it means I get to drive it for an hour out of the year! The scary thing is that even chipping in that much will still cost me close to $1500!
