hey guys quick question!

Are Mclaren Mp4 owners able to service their cars at Mercedes Benz dealers?? i know that mercedes and mclaren had a relationship (hence the SLR). Does anybody know the answer to this question, this would heavily influence the decision to add the MP4-12C to the collection! Thanks for the help

 

McLaren dealers only for servicing, not shared.

 

I'm pretty sure the answer is no. However, if you are truly serious, call your nearest McLaren dealer and get an answer from the source.

SLR collaboration was ended, and from what I read, parties unhappy with each other

 

Mine is going to McLarenNB for its first annual service tomorrow.

 

McLaren started using Mercedes engines in their Formula One cars in 1995. In the year 2000 Mercedes-parent, Daimler, bought a 40% stake in the McLaren Group. At the time McLaren were co-developing the SLR and would go on to produce the car for Mercedes at the Technology Centre in Woking. In 2009 a mutual decision was made to part ways and that 40% stake was sold off to other investors and the current 'McLaren Automotive' was formed. McLaren's Formula One cars still use Mercedes Benz engines, but that relationship is set to end after the 2014 season and they've announced a new partnership with Honda from 2015 onwards. Thus ends the history lesson.

Now to answer the original question: No, unfortunately you would not be able to get your McLaren 12C serviced through a Mercedes Benz dealership.
