It sure did..and i think it will do on the track..

Why wouldn't it??..its lighter and more powerful.

And Mclaren isn't the only one with F1 know how in the game.

Ferrari kind of do F1 as a hobby from time to time

McLaren needs to teak the turbo system to get out a few extra ponies.

It's not lighter... And least, it's not been confirmed to be lighter.

The McLaren's curb weight is reportedly <1400kg
The Ferrari's dry weight is reportedly 1255kg

By the time the extra weight is added to the Ferrari, the weight's will be so close it won't matter. That is, assuming Autocar is correct in their comparison of the 2.

|Edit|
And keep in mind the Macca has that huge rear wing, and independent suspension to make up for the missing horses...

Ferrari always gives lower weight figures than their cars are. Until an independent test with all fluids, the real weight won't be known. The Enzo and CS in the US were always given a lower weight in the books, than the actual cars when weighed. In addition, it will be very easy for McLaren to turn up the boost in that engine.

We all have seen the interior and Exterior in detail bu :-( no one has posted any pictures on the Engine bay. IS Maclaren keeping this a secret for some reason?

Now that we've seen the Ferrari and Lambo offerings, I think the P1 comes out the winner, at least in terms of aesthetics
