Erik, I'm impressed as ever by the depth of your F1 knowledge. I tip my hat to you! Thank you for sharing. So if any of the two ever comes to the open market, it's time to strike.

What about the LM's? Has any other car than the Ralph Lauren one changed hands? I remember reading a Michael Sheehan newsletter where he went to Brunei and got offered to take one or two out of the country to sell, but he didn't think it was worth all the paper work. Seems like they don't treat all their cars too nicely...which isn't too good to hear. Going slightly off-topic, but we're talking super rare F1's, so I hope I'm excused. I saw the LM i Paris a couple of years ago (the RL one) and I was blown away. What a car.

 

Ralph Lauren's LM is the only one known to have ever changed hands. It's on its third owner with RL. Three of them are in Brunei and likely to remain there indefinitely, one is in Japan with the other GT as noted above, and finally the prototype is still with the factory.

Wish I'd been able to come to Paris for that exhibition. Hopefully I'll cross paths with the LM at some point. It's a very special car but I know that Ralph isn't shy about using his.
