They can't go wrong with anything like the HS. Any word if the P12 is still going to use the same engine as the 12C?

Same architecture and layout but I would expect a bump in displacement.

My guess is that McLaren has had to go back to the drawing board in response of the "Enzo II" employing a large(er) displacement V12 w/KERS and an output possibly north of 900bhp.

Just to say i have just seen the mule driving, about to hit the m25 onto london. The driver accelerated hard up to a roundabout and im afraid i have some disappointing news to report - very little engine noise. I'm hoping that it wasn't carrying the new engine.

Couldn't follow for long but this i can faithfully report after following for one mile.

Not surprised Eddington, they will most likely continue using efficient engines with lots of power but low fuel consumption and emissions, which inevitably involves turbos.

Huge shame, i must say i got fairly excited when i saw him start to move - although the RRS struggled to keep up. But although the speed was almost certainly there, it was almost flat - maybe the rain was cushioning the noise?

Yes i have - 599s are common as muck around here. Maybe he was pulling away in a higher gear doing some testing and that is why.
