The High Downforce Kit is simply an upgrade package McLaren offer to adapt the styling elements of the F1 GTR/F1 LM to a standard road car in order to improve the car's handling. It adds the front splitter, flared front wheel arches, rear wing, larger diameter wheels/tires and changes to the suspension in order to give the F1 more downforce. There is a trade off in reduced top speed but it is pretty rare for anyone to push the limits on that. It also eliminates the movable Brake Balance Foil at the rear of the car.
To my knowledge there have been a total of 10 F1 road cars converted (none were originally built this way) and one of the cars (chassis #069) has since been reverted back to stock configuration. Also one of the 9 lacks the flared wheel arches in the front and therefore has a narrower front splitter. It also does without the larger wheels/tires. Two of the 9 also include an LM-spec engine upgrade and raised vents over the front fenders similar to those found on the longtail GTRs.

Peloton25, may i ask where it's possible to find all the information you have have mentioned before in this thread? On each single f1 i mean; is there a website or something like that?
Forgive me if you have already written this kind of info before, but the thread is a bit long...I'll read it all in the next days!
I'm very curious about the f1, last summer i've seen one of them for the first time in Paris (the Ralph Lauren's one) and i really fell in love :-)
It's the most incredibile car produced ever!
Thanks
