Those centerlocks are sweet. I have not seen those red ones on the roadcar before.

 

Those are actually what are known as the travel lugs. They have a ring on them that allows the car to be strapped down for shipping. Here's a better image of them:



They have been on this car for years - it seems they were never removed since its arrival in Singapore. Normally that would be a bad thing because the car is not supposed to be driven with them installed, but this car never gets driven anyway so it really doesn't matter.

Well, I did get the visit from Gordon Murray.



No key to the McLaren factory yet, but I'll keep working on that one.

That's a good question. There are some things I know I don't know, and probably more that I haven't considered or just aren't important to me.

I don't know who owns chassis #001 - that's a bit frustrating.

I don't know which car was written off in Brunei - #004 or #005. Both cars are MIA right now.

I don't know what was actually engraved on the chassis plates of the 3 F1 GT's. They might say '054', '056' and '058' or they might have the full chassis number - '54F1GT', '56XPGT' and '58F1GT'. Minor detail, but it interests me.

There's probably a lot more, but those were the first three things that popped into my head. If anyone has the answers, I'm all ears.
