Quattroporte Feedback

I don't know why Panny brings me bad luck, I got two speeding tickets in the past year with my current Panny turbo...and I didn't have one single ticket in the six years prior. No tickets in any of the Ferraries...F430, Scuderia, 559, 2x458 Italias, and the FF.

probably b/c you're driving faster than you're aware.

I sure don't recall QP's having as many issues as what's being stated... Not to mention it's pretty silly to judge off of one or two cars. If that were the case I could tell you about some super shitty Porsches, including a 997 GT3 which couldn't stop pissing oil even after the factory tried to fix it.
Reliability has gone up a lot since getting rid of the DuoSelect. There are a lot of shared components with the GranTurismo so someone who DD's a Mas of that generation (like UBC) could offer some solid feedback.
I am not wild about their Bose stereo interface (I find it hard to use) or the seats (they could be more supportive) but other than that I think they are awesome cars. They are a lot more stimulating than a Pcar, then again, most Italians are in comparison to German cars.
The QP GTS is awesome. Has all the carbon, big brakes, better suspension and sport exhaust of the GranTurismo S. I wouldn't hesitate to have that as a daily.

The Mas is not as reliable as a Porsche. There is no question. But I would say that it's been substantially more reliable than I expected. The only issues I have had (knock on wood) were the passenger seat motor not working properly and some minor funkiness with my dash instrument cluster (the later of which is a known issue on my year Mas GTS only). Nothing major and I've DD the car for 35K miles now. Go over to Maseratilife and ask the folks there what they think about the reliability of their QPs.
