Yep, and to answer your question regarding a difference between the E46 M3 SMG and the E60 M5, yes, there is a huge difference! The M3's SMG feels clunky and slow, but the M5's is smooth, fast, and very nicely integrated. To top it off, the 6-speed gearbox doesn't feel that great anyway.

My mother drives a 6speed M6 and we wouldn`t have it any other way. The most fun ever. I love rowing through the gears, I love dancing with the pedals. I love that I feel like I have more control over the car. I don`t like SMG at all, none of that flappy paddle crap for me.

But it`s up to you. To each his own. I would def go with 6speed. Plus the clutch is so soft that it doesn`t matter in traffic. After a while it becomes second nature.

A manly car without a man-pedal is like a friday night without hookers and blow.

SMG all the way. I wouldn't even think twice. I've driven both SMG and 6 speed.

Wait a sec - you got both cars? I thought you bought the benz instead of the M5, not in addition to it!
