Seats are pretty and all, but if it's supposed to be a racing-style bucket, they need to put a passthrough in the headrest for a harness.

there are backseats in the E90,so that might be a bit of a problem

Granted, this guy went above and beyond to lighten his E60 M5, but goes to show that backseats do not preclude a cage

I figure this will probably cost 50-60% more than a regular m3, knowing bmw.

In which case, i'd buy two, stock m3's, one as a daily, and gut the other one. That will save a lot more than 45kg.

So all that carbon technology in the bonnet, seats, spoiler etc yet they choose not to give it a carbon roof?
