After testing the 550i, I can tell the M5 is going to be off the charts... The 550i with "only" 400hp is really fast. I can only guess what another 160hp would feel like.

You're nuts Dana. Drive an M car, you'll love it. The new M5 will be sick. Can't wait to see how it stacks up to AMG and 4 rings RS models.

Glad you liked it, Chris. I drove a new 550i hard on the track at Spartanburg and it felt very soft with lots of body roll. However the engine pulled like a freight train. I can't image how the M will feel with an entirely different revised suspension and dual clutch transmission. I'm stoked! I hope you order one.

 

Agreed about the suspension - definitely more set to "comfort" than sport. I would love an M5 but I see myself getting a LOT of tickets. I don't need to order my next car until Jan '12 or so, so plenty of time to decide.

 

I am pretty sure that this is a typo. There is no way the rear brakes are 6 pistons caliper. From the pictures alone, I probably say that the rear is a single piston caliper.

 

Anyone have more info on this? It would be such a shame if a car like this wasn't offered with a manual.

True. Thats why I'll never buy a car from here. I'd rather import one from the States.
