Heh, I have an Melbourne Red M3 sedan with manual, no sunroof, and cloth/manual seats coming also.

I remember seeing people talking about good BMW indie shops on the M5board, if you really want a nice low mile 03 M5, now is the time before they are all gone.

Just check the M5board for the shop recommendation and you should be good.

In another 2 to 3 years there will be very very few low mile 03's left, and people will want stupid money for them.

Premier took it off when they were wrapping the whole car in clearbra, and I happened to like the cleaner look of not having a badge, so I told them to leave it off.

Although, I did think about ordering a 520i badge (yes, they make those hamster powered E39's in .de) as a joke...

I read that article, he bought an 00 M5 with like 18K miles.

I personally wouldn't buy anything but the 03. You have to replace the 16X9 screen, the MK4 DVD unit, BT PLUS you'll need the wiring harness (and a pain to do since you have to rip up the interior), and better headlights and LED taillights. Not to mention oil consumption, VANOS issues, and secondary air passage carbon built up issue. Not worth it IMHO.

^ Yup, '03 is the best bet and the only year I want.
