F10 M5 AWD Confirmed by BMW!

Brilliant! Some people want to be able to enjoy their super sedan all year, safely. The guys have hinted they like what Ferrari did with the FF's awd system...stay tuned. See the 550 hp X5/6 as an example.
On Saturday, the X5M piloted by Brock Yates, posted the best G rating on the wet skid pad test at Tire Rack's HQ for 1Lap of America. Not even the 997 TurboS or GT-R could match the big truck. The AWD system will be fantastic, don't worry be happy.
Why is BMW working on an all-wheel-drive M5?

I really don't get this if you live in wintery climate you must buy AWD.
I drove my MIL's 740 with proper snow tires in middle of nowhere MA, town outside of Baltimore, and now, outskirts of Chicago.
Never had a problem, never slid off the road, etc, and it's not like these three places don't get snow either when we visit in Christmas.
