Looking good! I wouldn't worry about the mileage, my 36/7 has 200K kms and runs great. I have a friend with one that has 300K.

Are you running the stock differential? What do the euro's come with, a 3.15? I'm going to put a 3.73 in as soon as i can, it should wake the car up a lot.

It's not about the mileage, its how well you take care of the car be it service intervals, interior and exterior.

Thanks, the car is all stock including the diff. AFAIK the diff ratio is the same with US ones.

Dude. Get a diff. BMW intentionally put stupidly tall diff ratios to de-tune the MZ3 and M coupe so that they wouldn't be faster than the M3 (yes, they still are).

Put a 3.73 LSD in. It completely wakes up the car, you put down 18% more torque to the wheels and the gears are more aligned with the power band. Your RPM's are barely 500 higher on the highway, and your top speed is still over 155mph/255kph.

Best part of it is, ANY mid-case e30 diff fits! Just find a 325iS e30 in the scrapyard, swap the flanges and bam, its in! Even the vented diff cover will fit on the new one!

Man I just stumbled upon this thread. I love the attention of detail. Not a big fan of the two-tone black and grey interior but to each their own. Great restoration !

Thanks a lot for the tip. I will look into that. Might be worth a try.
