2012 BMW M6 Spied Testing

Here are pictures of BMW’s new M6. The car is rumoured to become a true Audi R8-fighter when it will hit show rooms in autumn 2011. Equipped with the sophisticated 4.4-litre bi-turbo V8 known from the X5 and X6 M-versions, the new M6’s motor will develop something like 570 to 580 hp. The car was snapped in sweden. It was riding on giant 20-inch wheels, and we reckon that yet bigger ones will be available as an option. Stay tuned for more photos as the BMW camo starts to shed!

 

This whole 20+ inch wheels on a "sports car" thing is a joke?

The guys from the hand-built ///M days would have laughed you out of the garage.

It's uninspired to me. Looks boring for a sport coupe to me. I wonder why they think those wraps Hide it. If anything this car would blend in without anyone noticing with just black paint.

 

Did the hips get wider or am I seeing things?

 

I sure hope so - certainly needs to look more aggressive than the standard 6
