996 turbo is not a super car. supercar pace is mentioned in the article. I would rather have a brand new 1 series M because I hope it is light and agile. Plus I would have to look at those terrible 996 headlights. Meanwhile I could save up for a brand new GT3. I like new and warranties better than finding a place to fix my 996 that has been hammered on for a decade.

your hopes wont make it light and agile, the 1M weighs 1500 kg which means the weight difference between the two cars is 45 kilos.

and regarding the 996TT you are simply wrong in all your comments.

False.
996 is not a super car. The headlights are terrible. And I would rather have a brand new car that is covered under warranty. Maybe I am being hopeful with the weight difference of 84 kg. I really don't care either way, but I just get a kick out of coming into threads and finding comparisons between used cars and aftermarket items that cost the same. Obviously there are used cars with higher MSRPs that could be had for the same price as new ones, that are better.

false my ass. anything that runs 190+ is a supercar, plain and simple. why are you fixated on the headlights? do you sit on the hood while driving? no, so stfu about the damn headlights. and why are you still hopeful about the weight difference? i gave you the exact figures, wtf. i don't give a shit what you get a kick out of, im suggesting a cheaper/faster/more reliable alternative to this overweight turd. if my suggestion is so obvious then why are you wetting the bed over it? one things for damn sure, you line up your little bimmer against any 996TT and you will be shitting a brick. enjoy

1,500 is heavy for a car that size with 6 cylinders, my SLK55 is 1,500kg because its a convertible and has a 5.4L v8 and an auto.
