They've already tested it against the IS-F and they found the M3 to be better. So the RS5 was the only one left to be compared to

Arrow BMW E90 M3 Sedan vs Lexus IS F.

The Lexus is fast, but M3 seems better balanced. I would like to drive the Lexus to feel it for myself. Till then, E90 M3 is my favorite car.

Wonder if they'll test the facelifted C63 against the M3 sometime soon?

They compared the M3 to the IS-F in another episode. They also put the M3 against a prius in another episode. The M3 was about 15% better on gas around the track

Mine's going back to the dealer on Friday. Gonna miss that engine, diff, and gearbox. Best of any car I've ever had.

As a current owner of a E92 M3 and a B8 S4. I can honestly say that BMW really outdid themselves with the E9X M cars. There isn't a single time that I get in the M and am not thoroughly impressed by the engine, balance and overall characteristics of the car. I might be biased, but my vote goes for the M3 as well.

I do remember the other comparison episodes (the c***ometer bit was hilarious!), I guess I was just expecting more than one alternative. Interesting conclusion, too.

+1. A sliiightly taller 1st and 2nd gear so there's less wheel spin off the line is all I could ask for. The gearbox and shifting action is perfect, the diff is great giving HUGE grip but letting you have fun, and the engine is just redoinkulous. When I'm stuck in snow or traffic I rather have the Audi because of AWD and better ergonomics (BMW interiors aren't on par with Audi's IMHO), but whenever I have a clean stretch of road, even if that stretch is only 30 feet, I'm loving the M3! Carves up dense traffic at 100+mph easier than any other car I've ever driven.
