You know I had a B7 RS4... The RS5 is quantifiably better. On paper the gap doesn't seem so much, but the feel between the two couldn't be greater. The RS5 will eat the RS4 for lunch. The only advantages the RS4 still would have are practicality and low-profile.

I wish Porsche would make RWD an option on the Turbo.

I never cared for the AWD, but not having the rear seats is dumb. Sort of like a merge of the GT2 and the Turbo.

I mean, I DD'ed the GT2, and it was fine, but it was useless as a family car so it stayed parked most weekends.

The Turbo was a useable family car, but AWD and undefeatable PSM really took the fun out of it.

to be honest i would gladly have a 996 GT3 over both those choices.

As long as you have the stock US seats, the 996 GT3 is very easily DD'able.

Oh, and have a supply of the lower lip spoiler in the garage, since you'll go through them DD'ing.

I would pick the RS5 out of those choices. But if it was me in a position to buy either, i would just pick up a used 997 turbo. Wouldn't a fully loaded rs5 be in the high $70k-80k range? I'm seeing turbos, 07-08 w/ 10-22k miles, selling for around that much.
