Thinking of getting a 2008 M3 coupe for a dd

Does anyone have any advice about this....I have driven a friends 01' 330ci and liked it...I am looking to get an m3 coupe 08 cpo as a DD. Does anyone think the 335i coupe would be comparable??

I've had an e92 M3 since August '08. Bought it with 3500 miles and have 40k on it now, and I use it as a DD and track car. In a perfect world, I'd have an e90 M3 for DD and a GT3 for weekends/track. While the 335 is a great car, I personally don't think the two can be compared very well. I do think the M3 compares to your 997S though in terms of performance.

If you have any specific questions ask away. I've beat the piss out of my car and have no complaints.

The 335i makes a great DD and your 997S would make the M3 semi-redundant. Not to say its a bad idea to get the M, but practically a lightly modded 335i or xi will more than suit almost anyone's DD needs while not breaking the bank.

I've got no friends after buying the Porsche so I only need two doors....lol I like the S5 but it costs too much for what you get....I love the feel of a BMW....the feelin that someone gave a shit when it was put together.

Ljg...understandable but IMHO I would say the C2S is a totally different car than the M3...it just feels special comparatively for me. The M not so much.

Why get a M3, you can use the Carrera S as the daily driver its just as good. I know many people who drive 997's on a daily basis.

Awesome car. We just took in a white/black m/t 08- I took it for a quick spin....Love the M3! I'd DD w/o hesitation.

M3 is a great DD. Ours has 60k + on it and hasn't really had any major issues, just niggles.
