So what good upgrades are out there for the M3??? parts/prices...not interested in wheels/lowering...just engine and performance mods...maybe exhaust.

I have the akrapovic evolution exhaust and along with the ESS tune (specific for that exhaust) was the best mod I've done to my car. The other engine mods I have are Dinan intake and evosport pulley.

A coworker has an E92 M3 he DD, even in the snow. He runs blizzaks and as had 0 prolems with the car. There is an E90 6spd for sale in town for 48k, I'd bet you could pick it up cheaper then that.

They are kind of the same owned a quite a few of both, whatever the M3 is going to cost you , you will surely loose less in depreciation using the Porsche everyday...own it use it enjoy it.

Other people just don't understand this, but my porsche is a much better car than the M3 (to me)....I know people will disagree or agree it doesn't matter because that is how it is to me. I feel my porsche is special in a way I can't really describe. The bmw just isn't the same IMO..they are fun but not the same. I will keep my 997 in the garage and drive the BMW through traffic and park it close to shops and not worry about it getting door dinged because it just isn't that special to me...
