The BMW M8 that never was

Zamirz is onto it. Reliability is pretty good, as weary microbe mentioned about his example. But Damn, you don't wanna be left standing without a seat when something goes wrong.
I wanted an ur quattro, badly. It was in mint mint mint condition with all the right records, services etc. It would have been my only car, and all I had to do was sign on the dotted line. But my head won out over my heart, it would have been a spastic decision for me to buy that thing as a daily driver.

How funny, I was in the same boat on a mint urQuattro, just couldn't bring myself to do it. I do all my own work on my cars, but some of the parts for most of the shit that goes wrong are obscenely expensive for what they are. Still, I will get one eventually and have 2Bennett work their magic on it.
Was a romantic dream that like you, hasn't died, just been put on hold.

I would o the other way. The 840i's had bad motor blocks and they went up in flames quite a bit.
The 850's are pretty robust, and there are tons of 750i's/850i's to scavenge parts off cheaply.
