BMW has released two new videos showing the M3 GTS in action.
Designed to be harder, crisper, and more responsive track ready version than the standard M3, the GTS boasts a 4.4-liter V8 engine that produces 450 bhp. Besides the enlarged engine (up 0.4-liters and 36 bhp), the car also features numerous weight saving changes such the omission of a rear seat, automatic air conditioning, an audio system, and sound insulation. Other goodies include six-point seat belt harnesses, a rollcage, and a seven-speed M DKG Drivelogic transmission.
While the Europeans can savor a new high performance M-model, our American readers better take a good look - the car is "not currently planned for the North American market." Set to go on sale in spring 2010, the BMW M3 GTS will cost approximately €115,000 ($170,625 USD) .
