Safari 5 Released

The latest version of Safari has been released, and now features rather good HTML 5 support, Bing search from the tool bar, performance tweaks, and lo! the return of the old style progress bar.

My only gripe thus far is the outright retarded practice of matching URL bar input against titles rather than addresses by default, but presumably there will be (or is) a hack for that before long.

way too used to firefox - wish there was a way to set it to apple + 3 to get to the third tab instead of having that jump to the 3rd bookmark.

They added Bing, they didn't replace Google with it.

Those of you who favor Firefox, are you talking about Firefox for PC!?

I just can't fathom how anyone would prefer that pig over Safari on OSX - there's obviously some confusion going on here.

Agreed, Firefox for X is ungodly slow.

FireFox in general is a gelatinous blob of crap written under the standard open source ethos of "my way is better and if you don't like the UI you're not smart enough" elitist BS.

It's getting that IE, of all bloody things, is an easier browser to deal with when doing compatibility testing and site development than FireFox.

Firefox sucks. Safari on my mac and at the office I use Chrome for now, I use IE for one app only related to my industry that runs on IE only.
