What do you guys think of a E46 M3 Turbo?

I've been pondering around on the idea of this for the last couple weeks. I went through a thorough process of elimination before deciding on the E46 M3.

First of all, I can get a 60k miles example for $45k and the conversion costs around $20k. There is a guy that does it locally and his cars are putting down around 480rwhp.

What do you all think of this idea? There are 4 CSL's for sale as well for around $70-80k, but I don't know if that would be such a good idea. Love to hear all your input.

I would rather have a CSL over a turbo M3 anyday. Once you step into forced induction, it's not going to act like the E46 that we all love. The CSL builds on what the M3 is supposed to be and takes it to the next level the "proper" way.

I thought E46 M3s were going for mid 20s these days? Cost aside I bet it would be a fun car!

He's across the pond in some strange indigenous country where they still trade in tea and berries

I doubt a stock bottom end could handle 700hp.

Personally i think you should get a Superformance Daytona Coupe - they are local and could turbo a V8 block for you for an extreme machine.

Actually, i was just reading in some BMW magazine 2 hours ago in a bookstore
They had a feature of fellow TS member Tony Kanaan (Forgot his screename) with an E46 M3 pushing 740 or 840hp Turbo'ed of course.

You're nuts! But I really dig the idea
Is supercharging out of the game? The guys who did the Loaded CSL created a monster machine.
