CNI and Wider unveil the Wider 150 in Monaco
Wider is the nautical brainchild of Tilli Antonelli, whose philosophy is based on his fundamental values of passion, creativity, and constant quest for new concepts. After the success of the Wider 42’ immediately after her arrival on the market, Mr Antonelli has chosen the prestigious Monaco Yacht Show, but more importantly an outstanding partner, Camper and Nicholsons International, to share and present a new, exclusive, highly dynamic project: Wider 150’.

This maxi yacht is an evolution for her category, combining a top performance in terms of design, versatility of the various areas and speed, with extraordinarily low consumption for a yacht of this size.

The beating heart of the Wider 150’ is her propulsion. Indeed, this yacht epitomises the concept of energy saving, focusing on the use of a hybrid propulsion system (diesel/electric), which guarantees very low consumption and an Atlantic range.

This system is entirely modular. Indeed, the yacht has a range of around 8 hours and 56 miles distance when running on the electric engines powered by the batteries only, with all the on board appliances in use. If the diesel groups are used, a further three different speeds and relative ranges can be attained. Moreover, by combining the diesel groups with the electric engines and adding the diesel boosters, Wider 150’ can reach an extraordinary top speed of over 20 knots.

Wider is on a roll... I just hope they are not biting more than they can chew...but who knows. I love the Wider 42 and wish them the best.

That is pretty cool. I wonder when it will actually be built.
