Agree with everything here. As a former VW nut I can attest that those wheels are not only ugly but they're boat anchors as well. If you want even better fuel mileage swap them out for something lighter. BBS CH's maybe?

 

The new GTIs are superb! A perfect daily DD IMO. I was so close to buying one a month ago. The scirocco is nowhere near as fun to drive. Enjoy it in the best of health. But I would paint the wheels, badge black and get some window tent.

My girlfriend has the exact same GTI except her's has the plaid.

Edit: Oh and her's is a 2-dr.. so i guess not exactly at all .

They have a good bit of power.

you're funny. how can you resist? + 40hp+60TQ for 600 bucks? I have a B8 A4 on order, and it's first stop after PDI is my buddy who is APR dealer. mine will be making 323TQ when I take delivery.............hehe....


BTW congrats, the GTI is a fantastic car. I wish VOA got off their collective asses and had the GTI-R over her sooner, as I would love to be rocking one of those (4dr w/6MT, Carbon Grey). As it is, I think I will be pretty happy. APR stg 1 to start, with an AWE exhaust and other goodies to come soon after. damn turbo engines get me going with the mod bug every time...
