I haven't read any of the reviews but I thought you would like to see. I will test drive one in a few months (when my lease is up) just to see how they feel. But most likely I will get a new Evo X (even though I really want an 06-07 STI).

We have 2 of the New sti's here at the shop 08 and 09.. same as 10' though.. They are very smooth cars to drive daily.. The finish on the Subaru is 10x nicer than the comparable Evo X.. It drives 10x better as well.. I would NEVER buy the WRX if you can afford the Sti.. the 6spd trans is all that.. The trans is bullet proof, shifts like butter and has better gearing.. Honestly about 75% of what i like the most about the car is the trans.. The brakes larger, LSD in the rear, more HP, larger intercooler & Turbo, nicer wheels, nicer seats, & better handling..

If you dont plan to go crazy and make too much HP its great.. the Weak link, the Motor.. 300 or so WHP is as safe as youll get.. They are great from trips, seats 4 comfortable, the brakes are HUGE.. You cant go wrong with the car honestly.. I love mine for what it is.. any questions at all let me know and ill be glad to give you my honest advice..

Great input. Thanks Mike. This would be a DD, 15-20K miles a year minimum, so I didn't plan on modding it.....much But since it comes with 305 crank from the factory, you're saying it essentially has no room for power upgrades?

Similar to the Mini, it just looks fun to drive. But, the proof will be in the putting....

BTW, what do you know about the 'limited edition' pkg? Sounds like a bit more 'stripped' down version, few $$$ less than the std STI

No not at all.. They pick up power with mods for sure.. Im just saying keep it in the low 300's at the wheels if you want it to last.. Mine makes 320 and my partners 339 and no issues..

I can tell you this and its NO SALES PITCH.. if you buy the car get a COBB Accessport.. its plug and play box you use to flash over the base tune and its undetectable.. The factory tune is DEAD LEAN to get it thru emissions.. its around 700.00 and worth every dollar.. Youll pick up some power, more low end grunt and its safer then the BONE STOCK factory tune believe it or not..

Regardless you have warranty if anything and Subaru is VERY good about taking care of their customers..

I dont know much about that package.. As long as it remains an STi you can look thru the deleted options and decide whats worth it for you.. As long as motor, driveline, brakes is STi your good to go..
