I have a friend who owns a GTR overseas and told me it is extremely harsh on the road. Very stiff and the seats are not very comfortable.

Josh what is your opinion on this ?

For what it is, it rides pretty well. There is nothing harsh at all about it, even on the pot hole laden streets of the northeast. Do they have paved roads where your friend is?
