My GT-R
#11
Nice write-up...
I LOVED the GT-R, then hated Nissan, then loved the GT-R again. If they had been able to offer more on my RS4 at trade time, I'd have one now instead of my C4S. It really is a sweet ride. I'm curious to see how you like it later on down the road...

Congrats
In my opinion GT-R > P-Car Turbo
It is one of the most drivable cars I have ever driven. I use it as my daily.
From 0 to 100; there are not many cars that can take the GT-R-- instant speed off the line. Admittedly, once you get boost in the P-Car, lights out -- P-Car is like a freight train; bad ass.
Having said all of the that, I still own my P-Car Turbo (which wife dailies).
Even though I have since added to my stable with an Italian, I likely may never get rid of the Porsche -- I am already giving my GT-R to my 6 year old kid once he turns 16.

We tune both the Nissan GTRs and the P cars - I can tell you that the Porsches are built (and priced!) to a higher standard, but they are different animals, as anyone who has driven both will tell you.
Nice pics, btw.

It does look stunning in black! I really like the shot you posted. Havn't seen the car from that angle, and the lines of the car flows very well.
Does it have a nice exhaust note? I heard a little from the clip, but it's always hard to tell from a vid online. I've read in numerous magazines that that part was a bit of a let down.

It is pretty stealthy in that regard, with the volume of the exhaust only changing when the turbos are spun up. For what I bought the car for, I actually like that. Inside the cabin, the engine has a nice tonal change past 5k rpm, but it still remains quite civil given what the car is capable of.
Should I decide to upgrade the exhaust at some point, I may just limit it to a resonated midpipe to keep the sound of the car reasonably tame.
