Went for some quick single-track riding after work today. Bit muddy, pretty fun. I'm still not used to the massive bars, and I'm getting a bit better at controlling it through some single- and double-tracks. Way fun.
Gotta get better at the downhill single-track sections.

Just got a new road bike which is long over due.... I was dead set on a Cannondale Supersix Evo 2 Red but the best deal I could get on one was 4700. I was looking for unique and great value bike since I only race off road I don't need the absolute best road bike plus everyones on the evo..
Anyways I found this to be a much better value than anything new by about 2500-3750 depending on wheels and used by at least $2000 and i'm certain is faster for me than the supersix would have been due to the spokes/hubs and paint scheme since everyone knows that counts.
It's probally 15-16lbs and has the heaviest seat, seat post upper clamp and handle bars i've ever seen. As soon as my carbon replacements come in it's hitting the scales. I'm sure it will be 14.5 or less.
I think shes absolutely stunning. Carbon frame, crank, shifters, aero fork... Hell, a different build of the wheelset is as much as the whole bike!
Rode it yesterday and this morning and its a very nice bike to train with and the frame an wheelset are actually amazing quality, almost as nice as a set of zipps.

Badass looking ride, congrats!
LOL@lightening it up. My SS is like 22 lbs.
How much did you end up paying? I'm gonna buy a roadie with part of my next bonus and I'd be looking for something similar in the $2k range.

Thanks, I went to their warehouse instead of buying online (since they barely speak english OR answer the phone!) and wanted to see the quality in person first. I was actually looking to buy their Diablesse model in carbon/green and unfortunately they were out of large size frames for everything but they had one large frame SLX and for the price I decided to buy it and if I don't like it i'd just sell it and get a new frame when they get their next shipment, there ONLY 1300 INC FORK!!!
Depending on the groupset you can get it for about 2000 with aluminum wheels.
I paid for the black label wheels and got upgraded to the reds for free which was a HUGE plus for me as I think that sets the entire personallity of the bike and makes it stand out from the crowd.
Bottom line: The quality of the frame and fork is at least as good and anything you'd see on a 2-3k spec/cdale/trek bike. Yeah, there made in china but so is my scalper 29er and every other bike. I think they would sell a lot better if they raised the price $1000 on the frames.

Just did my regular weekday SS training ride. Getting better at road riding and changing my diet has paid dividends. I've gone from 13.6 mph average to 15.9 mph. Keep in mind this ride is fairly flat with one BIG ASS hill at the end that I usually have to walk 1/3-1/2 of. Anyway, I'm pretty happy that progress is being made.
