o.k. it's official: gt3 Mk2 will get carrera based DI engine Todays german Auto, Motor & Sport Magazine reports that the facelifted GT3 and Turbo will get 3.6 DI engines on the same engine base as the Carreras.
This will end the era for the o.g. engineblock.
Could be that this means the current GT3 will be seen as the last hardcore car with the famed engine base and without driver aids (PSM).
Then again, the new engine will do its job I guess...
However, owning the current car I thought its good news.
Maybe this will turn out to be a point for 997 Mk1 cars for people that value character over pure performance. We will see...
