I doubt about the return of the manual and sincerely, it would be a bad new for the value of the RS 4.0 which is "the last action hero", what means a pure analogic race road car !

moreover, I'm not really interested by the 991 RS because of its manual hypothetical transmission, even if it is more efficient the 4.0 RS . What interests me today with the 991 GT3 is that it is a very different car to the RS 4.0 in terms of technology but I still wonder what will be the next RS !

I am convinced this is why Porsche split the introduction of the 3 & RS (vs. releasing at same time in the past)....they know this is the most emotional and enthusiastic purchase in the P lineup, and are betting a lot of us will get the new GT3 now, then trade in 1-1.5 yrs for the RS, thus giving dealers 3 GT3 sales vs. one.

Good luck with a 991 GT3!

EXACTLY! There is one guy on here (who I will not point out his name) who has been waiting since the 997 Mk2 GT3 was coming out. He decided to wait for the M2k RS, then the 4.0, then the 991, and now proudly proclaiming he is waiting for the 991 RS because the 991 GT3 isn't hardcore enough for him... lol.

Wow, honestly I'd of just gotten a 997.2 GT3, and spend the extra cash on track tires and be the happiest man in the world. Saw one today... It will be mine 15 years from now no matter what I have to do!

Waiting for RS, I have a deposit in for the first one but it either be a manual or better be a sub 3000lb weight, stripped, CF everything, 4.0 or flat8 5.0 time machine..

If not I will do Euro delivery, try it and probably sell it soon after.

Im doing the new GT3 and am on the list for an RS out of another dealer. Though if they make the RS too racy, I wont spring for it (my 20 year old self would kick me in the nuts for saying that now).
